About Us
ARALU is a grassroots NGO in Bidar, Karnataka, dedicated to ending violence against women and children while promoting empowerment, education, and community development.
About Us – The Story of Aralu
From a small spark of hope in 1993 to a movement for change across Karnataka.
Aralu (Society for Socio Economic Development) was founded with a simple but urgent mission: to protect the rights of children and women and to build a just society where every life is valued.
Over the years, we have witnessed firsthand the harsh realities faced by marginalized communities—girls forced into early marriage, children dropping out of school, women trapped in cycles of violence, and families living without dignity.
Instead of standing as bystanders, we chose to act. Today, Aralu is not just an NGO—it is a community-driven movement of empowerment, safety, and transformation.
Our Vision
A society where every child enjoys the right to safety, education, and dignity, and every woman has the freedom, confidence, and opportunity to shape her own future.
Our Mission
To prevent violence and exploitation by creating awareness and strengthening community vigilance.
To champion child rights, ensuring no child is deprived of education or a safe childhood.
To empower women with skills, livelihoods, and leadership opportunities, breaking cycles of dependency and poverty.
To partner with schools, communities, and government systems to create sustainable, grassroots solutions.
